Are there dust mites in the mattress?
Yes, all people shed half a kilo of dead skin every year. We sleep an average of 7 hours a day, so we spend about 1/3 of our lives on our mattress. Thus, a lot of dead skin cells accumulate in our bed and the mites in our mattresses feed on them.
How often does a mattress need to be cleaned?
At GMD® we recommend a mattress deep cleaning and surface disinfection at least twice a year.
Is GMD® a pest control company?
No, we are not a pest control company. Our treatment method for mattress cleaning is completely natural and environmentally friendly as well as 100% chemical-free thanks to powerful UV-C technology.
Does GMD® use any chemicals?
No, we do not use any chemicals for mechanical mattress cleaning in the dry process. All our treatments are chemical free and eco-friendly. Our mite spray is odorless with long-term protection (up to three months) and passed the dermatest with “very good”. The mite spray is only used if expressly requested by the customer.
Do you use steam treatment method?
No, all of our treatment methods are dry and chemical-free. Steam could damage the fabric due to high temperature and lose elasticity.
How long does it take to clean a conventional mattress?
The complete treatment of a standard king-size mattress (2m x 2m) takes about 20 minutes. The mattress remains in the room and is ready to move into immediately after the treatment.
